I am willing to pay a modest sum for development - to be negotiated - but I think many would be interested in such an integration, so perhaps fame counts for something.

Detailed description of the tasks:
Facebook's SDK permits authorized users to request that Facebook provide credentials which can be used to log into phpBB using the OAuth facility. The writers of the OneAll Social Login extension use these mechanisms, but the login is mediated by their site. I would like to see an extension that can provide for a direct integration between Facebook and my phpBB site, without the services of OneAll.
Fifteen years ago someone had written a phpBB Mod that did exactly this. Both Facebook and phpBB have changed; but perhaps the Mod initiative could be exploited to develop an extension that works with the current Facebook SDK and 3.3.x versions of phpBB.
