I installed a second instance of phpBB in order to update and solve a digest 500 error.
When first I tried to login with the administrator credentials, I got the message "The submitted form was invalid..."
Checking past posts here, I discovered that switching to Chrome worked for one developer. And, lo, it worked for me. The problem seemed to be state retained by FireFox.
On FireFox, I was able to login after these steps: I cleared the phpbb cache, cleared the FireFox data cache, and restarted FireFox. I did not clear the phpbb.com cookies, but perhaps they were cleared by the FireFox restart.
